Holy Week Events:
Palm Sunday – March 29, 2026 at 10:30 am
What would it have been like to be part of the crowd watching Jesus riding on a donkey? Or to be part of the Palm Parade? Come join us and find out. Also joining us will be the Leper, Zaccheus, and Peter.  With palm branches waving and shouts of praise and adoration: Hosanna, hey-sanna-sanna-sanna! Hosanna! Blessed is the One who comes in the name of the Lord, we will celebrate Jesus' entry into Jerusalem. This service is for all-ages.
The WonderKids will take a special "noisy offering".  As the name suggests, a "noisy offering" is so called because of the loud clang the coins make as they are dropped into a tin pot. The bigger the handful, the bigger the clang.  So bring all your change to make lots of noise as you happily toss it into the tin pots.  The louder the better!

Prayer Vigil - Thursday, April 2, 2026 from 6 - 7:30pm
Come and find the quiet centre in the crowded life we lead,
find the room for hope to enter, find the frame where we are freed
Clear the chaos and the clutter, clear our eyes that we can see
all the things that really matter, be at peace and simply be.
~Shirley Erena Murray~
On the Thursday before he was executed by the state government on a bogus charge, Jesus spent the Passover meal with his friends and followers.  He shared food and wisdom with them, prayer and praise, and tried to give them some encouragement for what he knew would be the sometimes difficult journey ahead of them.
We will sit quietly in the presence of the Holy Mystery, we will experience guided prayer and meditation, we will contemplate his "new commandment" given that day, that we love one another as he loves us.  We will pray for each other, our community, and our hurting world.
We will share a tasty communion of homemade bread, cheese and juice.
Come join us as we search for the quiet centre and seek peace amidst the chaos and the clutter.

Good Friday - April 4, 2026 at 10:30 am
Jesus surrenders and is arrested. He argues with the High Priest. Peter betrays him three times. He is crucified. The women remain with him at the Cross. Join us here at Robert McClure United Church to reflect on the significance of this Good Friday.  Lunch will be provided following the worship service.  We would appreciate donations of finger food, such as sandwiches and goodies.

Sunrise Service - April 5, 2026 At the Gazebo at 7:00 am
Rise and Shine and give God the glory!  Get out of bed and experience the early morning of a new beginning.  Our Sunrise Service will be held at the Gazebo at Robert McClure United Church.  We will remember Jesus' resurrection and eat hot-cross buns and our traditional breakfast of oatmeal with ice cream (yum, yum!).  Too cold you say?  Nonsense!  We will have a fire going (but do dress warmly).  Please bring along a cup, bowl and spoon for each family member.

Easter Sunday Service with Communion - April 5, 2026 at 10:30 am
Easter Sunday marks the most significant Holy day to Christians around the world. The Resurrection shows that God is more powerful than death and brings, again, the promise of new life. The Resurrection proves that Jesus is the Christ, the one who was celebrated on Palm Sunday. Come to the church for our Easter worship service.   Christ is Risen!  He is Risen Indeed!  Alleluia!  Following worship, we will continue our fellowship by sharing bread and homemade jam.
